She was born Nov. 29, 1929, in a farmhouse in Felton, to John and Elizabeth Ware. She loved reminiscing about growing up on the family farm and telling tales of her childhood spent with her siblings. In her heart, her beloved Felton will always be home.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Hughes; parents, John and Elizabeth Ware; and her siblings, John "Buddy" Ware, Jaqueline "Dudie" Hall, Mary Emily "Sis" Green, Vincent "Vinnie" Ware, Ruth "Poder" Kemp, and Jean "Duckie' Kish.
In 1962, she married the love of her life, Charles, and resided in Felton most of her life. She and Charlie owned and operated Ware's Market in Felton for 17 years. Prior to that, Maggie was a homemaker, and in earlier years worked for Diamond State Telephone as an operator.
