Donald "Don" Kenzie Adams, 66, of 27 Virginia Ave., husband of Sue Chism Adams, died at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.

A native of Clark County, he was the son of the late Kenzie and Wayne Monroe Adams. He was a retired car salesman, a Kentucky Colonel, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of the Harold G. Epperson MOH Detachment No. 1113, Marine Corps League, and a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include two sons, Donald Kenzie Adams II and John LaMont Adams, Winchester; a daughter, Marissa Adams Stratton, Winchester; six grandchildren, Kyle D. Stratton, Kenzie C. Adams and Sarah R. Jones, Winchester; Shaye D. Adams, Lexington; Jacob L. Adams and Zachary L. Adams, Richmond; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann Love and Susan and Steve Wickline, Winchester; a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Ruth Adams, Georgetown, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Dale Hanson. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marion Chism, John W. "Butch" Chism, Robert Love, Garrett Burton, Mike Norman, R.W. "Bud" Banks, Jon Tuttle and Dee Chism; grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
