James P. Wilson, 58, of 128 Partridge Road was dead on arrival yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
Born in Plainfield, N.J., the son of Leo and Margaret Barry Wilson, he graduated from Plainfield High School and from St. Louis (Mo.) University in 1956. He enlisted in the Army and served in Germany and Korea with the 7th Infantry Regiment from 1949 until 1951. Mr. Wilson was employed by General Electric Co. in Syracuse, N.Y., Germany, Binghamton, N.Y., and, for the past 12 years, in the Pitts-field ordnance systems as a design engineer.
He leaves three sons, Kennith J. Wilson of Mystic, Conn., Steven R. Wilson of Syracuse, N.Y., and Patrick R. Wilson of Pittsfield; a daughter, Miss Karen S. Wilson of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Frank Wilson of Alexandria, Va., and John Wilson of Plainfield; two sisters, Mrs. Patricia Hodgson of Forked River, N.J., and Mrs. Margaret Pozalanti of Bricktown, N.J., and a friend, Jeanette R. Rettie, with whom he lived in Pittsfield.
Calling hours will be at the Wellington Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9. The funeral will be from the funeral home tomorrow morning at 9:30 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Charles' Church at 10. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
