Richard A. Pearson, 58 of Michigan City, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020. He was born February 28, 1962 in Blue Island, Illinois, the son of Richard Pearson and Julia (Gomez) Pearson. Richard was a long time employee in the air compressor industry. On February 28, 2004 he married Mary Ginther, who survives in Michigan City. Also surviving is his daughter Alexa Pearson, stepchildren Catherine (Devin) Crawford and Brian Thomas, grandchild Adrian Allen, step-grandchildren, Julianna Allison, Ryker, Razalynn and Theo Thomas, his mother Julia Pearson ,sisters Suzanne (James) Trafficanta and Debra (Kevin) Burke and his German Sheppard Azia. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020, 4-8 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso and 9:00 AM until Funeral Mass at church. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1511 LaPorte Avenue, Valparaiso, Rev. Christopher M. Stanish officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso.
