Marian M. Visser Hill passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2007 following a lingering illness.

Marian was born in Ogden, Utah on March 15, 1925 to John E. and Jacoba Visser. She attended Ogden High School. She married Harvey F. Hill in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 25, 1942. Marian and Harvey were an inseparable couple for all of their 59 years together.

Her family and her service to her church were the most important things in Marian's life. Helping her husband Harvey with his construction business, and raising her three children were priorities for her. As an active member of the LDS Church all her life, she held many church callings. She was Primary President in the Lakeview Ward for several years and Homemaking Coordinator in the Relief Society for the Roy 5th Ward. Marian and Harvey later moved to Clearfield where she made many friends in the Clearfield 3rd Ward. Marian was an avid gardener and President of Roy Garden Club. She held tight to a philosophy of working hard, and playing hard. Marian and Harvey were well traveled throughout the world, and included their children and grandchildren on many a sojourn. Marian radiated an everlasting air of warmth, compassion and generosity, wherever she went. She always made the best of all things, finding a solution for any predicament.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, her parents two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a brother, Bert (Tina) Visser, and a sister Helen (LaMar) Shaw, her three children, two daughters, Karen (LaMar) Merrill, Janet (Robert) Tillotson, and son Kent (Linda) Hill. She also leaves behind nine Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
