French Nobility. When she was eighteen she was married to Jules François Armand de Polignac. In 1775, they came to Versailles and she immediately became the close friend of Marie Antoinette, but fell out of favour around 1786. The Polignacs left France shortly after the start of the Revolution. Her husband later went to Russia and died in St Petersburg
