Angelica passed away peacefully with family at her side at St. Paul's Hospital. Left to remember Angelica are her children, Terry (Bernice) Deck, Callista Peakman, James (Darlene) Deck, Tim (Betty) Deck, Pat (Alan) Wilson, Mel (Donna) Deck, Dan (Jennifer) Deck; daughter-in-law, Donna Deck; seventeen grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren; and in-laws, Agnes Schechtel, Frank (Loreen) Deck, Ed Deck and August Watchel.
Angelica was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Deck; son, Fred Deck; parents, John and Anne Schechtel; three sisters, Pauline (Paul) Feser, Pearl (Lawrence) Kloster and Rosie (Tony) Feser; four brothers, Leo (Regina), John, George and Amos (Betty) Schechtel.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the wonderful nurses at St. Paul's Hospital, Kim, Melissa, Christine and Lyndsey, for their compassionate care of Mom during her final journey, and also to the Quality Care Home workers who were so kind to Mom every day.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House. The Vigil for Angelica will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11th and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 with both services being held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (535 8th St East, Saskatoon). Following the reception, the Rite of Cremation Committal will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements in care of John Schachtel - MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (306-978-5200).
