Author. Born in Correggio, Italy, he is widely considered one of the leading representatives of 1980s Italian literature. Tondelli began his career as a journalist in the newspapers "Azione Cattolica" and "Il Resto del Carlino." His first book, "Other Libertines" (1980) was a controversial success for its treatment of sex and violence. His many works also include "Bang, Bang," "Rimini" "Biglietti agli Amici" and "Separate Rooms." Tondelli died from AIDS at 36 in his Correggio.
