Katherine's Alberta Death Registration #006-592 lists her own/her mother's maiden name as Lawman. Since there is another person in this cemetery with the surname Lauman, it is most likely incorrectly spelled on the registration. After receiving information below from fellow contributor David Haspert, it appears Katherine's maiden name was Kohlman, which would make Lauman her mother's maiden name.

Change of her maiden name from Lauman to Kohlman. She is listed on a couple of family trees at different web sites with the Kohlman maiden name. Also the below is from the http://www.prairiesouls.com cemetery project for her daughter, Floramina, which has her mother as Catherine Kohlman as well.
