Catherine Guest (née MacLeod) died peacefully in Victoria, B.C. on November 2, 2003, ten days short of her 102nd birthday.

Born in Stornoway, Scotland to Malcolm MacLeod, Sr. and Mary Ann Smith, she emigrated to Trail, B.C. with her husband, Dave Longmuir, in 1927. Following Dave's passing in 1946, she moved to Victoria and subsequently remarried to Frank Guest, who passed away in 1971. Predeceased by three of her four children, she is survived by her son, George Gordon Longmuir (Kazuko) of Vancouver; six loving grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
