Nina Malambri graduated St. Mary's Academy in Quincy Illinois, and also studied voice. Nina was a coloratura soprano, and gave a concert at St. Mary's 24 May 1917. It was not her first concert; among other performances, Miss Nina Malambri sang "Corro Romo," 28 October 1915, at a Knights of Columbus vaudeville entertainment in her home town.

While awaiting her wedding day, Nina Malambri was guest of honor at three parties, all in January of 1919.

The first was a "box party" at the Belasco theater. It was planned by sixteen of her friends. After an evening at the theater the young ladies enjoyed a supper at Majestic Cafe.

The second was a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Jasper. The guests played cards.

The third party was a shower given by Miss Dora and Miss Lizzie Clark. 25 guests attended. After the guests had played cards, Miss Malambri was led, blindfolded, to a table filled with gifts.

A three course supper followed the gift opening. The table was decorated with Cupids and rainbow colors. Rainbow was the color scheme chosen by Miss Malambri for her wedding.

The Young Ladies' Sodality of St. Peter's Catholic church also threw her a party.

Nina Malambri thanked her various benefactors by having thirty guests to her own home for dinner. The decorations included wedding bells, with a large wedding bell made of white flowers as the centerpiece.

On Thursday, 30 January 1919, Miss Nina Malambri wed Antonio Sabatini, in "one of the largest weddings in Quincy for many months." The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Father Giusti, at St. Peter's Catholic church.

Miss Malambri walked up the aisle in white satin trimmed with beadwork. The matron of honor wore pink crepe with beading. The maid of honor wore yellow crepe with a matching hat.

A wedding breakfast for thirty people followed, at the bride's parents' home. There was a large wedding cake and a number of relatives from out of town.

In the afternoon began a wedding reception which lasted into the evening. At the reception were several hundred guests. The new Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Sabatini greeted guests while standing beneath a large wedding bell adorned with roses. Guests were served a wedding luncheon, and enjoyed music.

The Sabatinis took a honeymoon in Chicago, at which time they attended the theater and other places of interest.
