widow of Col Edward W. Wynkoop. She met her husband shortly before the Civil War in Denver, Colorado where her stepfather George Wakely was a photographer.

After her husband died in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1891 she went to live with one of her sons, Frank Murray Wynkoop, in Denver, Colorado. Then moved to San Francisco for the rest of her life with her married daughter Angeline Schneider and family.
