Sarah "Sally" Hester Loden, 87, of Gastonia, was a daughter to the late Karl Pierce Hester and Hattie Black Hester. She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Gerald Loden.
Sally was a graduate of Marietta (GA.) High School, Class of 1946. She attended The University of Georgia where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Women's Athletic Association, actively pursuing an interest in women's basketball and tennis. She later moved to Washington, DC where she met her husband of 30 years, Bill Loden. A nearly 50 year resident of Gastonia, Sally will be remembered as a welcoming face at Chick Fil A at Eastridge Mall for 17 years. After retirement, she enjoyed her time with family, her First Presbyterian Church community, and her Thursday Night "Gamers". She was blessed to consider many of all ages in the Gastonia community among her friends.
