CAROLINE E. RICHMOND, 83, of Manitou Springs died Saturday in a local care center. She was a teacher and librarian in Manitou Springs schools.
Funeral services were held at the Community Congregational Church, 103 Pawnee Ave., Manitou Springs, with the Rev. Merrill Lanker officiating. Burial was in Crystal Valley Cemetery, Manitou Springs. Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave., was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Richmond was born Aug. 4, 1906, in the Oklahoma Territory to Harry and Ada (Marshall) Bartleson. She lived in Salina, Kan., and attended Wesleyan College in Kansas before moving to Manitou Springs in 1941.
She was a member of the Community Congregational Church, P.E.O. Chapter K and Manitou Springs Womens Club.
She married Stewart Gilbert Richmond on June 3, 1934, in Salina, Kan. He died in January.
Survivors include a son, John of Suamico, Wis.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Gilbert, died in 1986.
