STEWART GILBERT RICHMOND, 83, of Manitou Springs died Thursday at a Colorado Springs hospital. He had been an accountant and was employed with Marksheffel, Doenges Long, Johnson Pontiac and Daniels Motor companies.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave. Services were at Community Congregational Church, 103 Pawnee Ave., Manitou Springs, with the Rev. Merrill Lanker officiating. Burial was held at Crystal Valley Cemetery, Manitou Springs.
Mr. Richmond was born Dec. 30, 1906, in Ragan, Neb., to Gilbert Laird and Selma (Johnson) Richmond. He had lived in Manitou Springs since 1941 and was a former resident of Salina, Kan. Mr. Richmond attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He was a member of Community Congregational Church of Manitou Springs and the Manitou Springs Kiwanis Club.
He was married June 3, 1934, in Lincoln, to Caroline E. Bartleson, deceased.
Mr. Richmond also is survived by a son, John of Suamico, Wis.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert, in September 1986.
