HEATHER LEIGH STUART, 18, died of cancer Feb. 23, 1997, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a senior at Coronado High School.

Miss Stuart was born Jan. 21, 1979, in Flint, Mich., to Patrick and Gail (Coe) Stuart. Her father lives in Colorado Springs. Her mother and stepfather, Gail and Andrew Borden, also live in Colorado Springs.
She is also survived by a brother, Aaron of Colorado Springs. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Shirley Coe, and Dallas and Eleanor Stuart.
Miss Stuart was on the Coronado softball team for four years and also sang in the school choir. She was very active in school and competitive softball.
She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1993, previously living in Lompoc, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Box 5252, Englewood 80155, or to the Heather Stuart Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of any branch of Ent Federal Credit Union.
