Former Civil Service Commissioner Dies
Vivian M. Munson, formerly of 211 LaFayette Road, died Friday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital.
A native of Mexico, N.Y., Miss Munson resided most of her life in Syracuse. She retired in 1968 as Onondaga County civil service commissioner. She was employed 38 years with the county.
Miss Munson was an avid golfer and a member of Drumlins Country Club.
Surviving are two sisters, Audrey Munson of Ogdensburg and Gertrude Church of Liverpool; two brothers, Lawrence of Pulaski and Gerald of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Butler-Badman Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Haven Rural Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
