Clifford Lee Robinson, 68, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 at his home in Pittsfield.

He was born February 29, 1940 in Randolph, the son of Frank and Minnie Mae (Ballou) Robinson.

He attended Rochester schools and graduated from Rochester High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-62.

Following his discharge from the service, he returned home and married Sandra Morris June 1, 1963 in Mendon. They lived in Windsor, where he was a police officer from 1968-1974. He then worked for Dartmouth College Campus Security for over 27 years, retiring as a captain in 2004. Following the death of his father in 1995, he and his wife moved to Pittsfield.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was an avid pool player. He was a member of the White River Golf Club in Rochester.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Robinson of Pittsfield; a daughter, Tonya Martin of Yorktown, Va.; a son, Russell Robinson of Wells River; and seven grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Master Sergeant Harold Robinson; and his sister, Beverly Knowles.
