Raymond served in the United States Army as a corporal from 1942 to 1943 in the South Pacific. After their marriage, they first lived Ashland. They moved to Hutchinson, KS. on 10-1-1954, and then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1965. He died there after a years illness with a heart condition on March 29, 1973. Buried in Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
