On Sep. 20, 1905, Fred Swingendorf, 29, married Mary Harmon, 24, at Annunciation Church, Cook Co., IL. (familysearch.org)

According to the census records of South Bend, Indiana, Frederick Swingendorf, a manufacturer of boilers, and his wife, Mary F., had four children: Frederick, Edward who died young, Joseph, and Mary.

Frederick Albert Swingendorf died in 1925 and was interred in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana.

On June 21, 1927, Mary F. Swingendorf married Francis A. Payette in St. Joseph Co., Indiana. (sbags.org) Both had been married before. Francis Payette died in 1942 and was interred with his first wife in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Mishawaka, Indiana.

When Mary Harmon Payette died in 1959, she was interred in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, Indiana. Later, her son Frederick Swingendorf, his wife Helene, their daughter Mary L. Swingendorf Akins, and their granddaughter, Jeanne M. Aikens Olen and her husband, Michael C. Olen, were interred in the same lot.
