W illiam Marksheffel Calvert was a life long resident of Colorado Springs, where he died peacefully at home on May 19, 2005.

Bill was a Lieutenant in the Navy during World War II and commanded a PT Boat in the South Pacific. A graduate of Colorado College and University of Colorado Law School, he practiced law until being elected a 4th district judge – where he served until retirement.

Bill was a member of the Winter Night Club, El Paso Club, Saturday Knight Hiking Group, and active civically.

He was preceded in death by his children: Paul, Mathew, Steven, Joseph, and Mary. He is survived by a sister, Anne Cross; and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
