HELEN FRAKER GORDON, 83, of Delaware passed away peacefully Monday September 2, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 11, 1930 in Ostrander to William and Mabel (Hines) Lavender.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Delaware and several quilting and square dancing groups. She was also a member of Singles in Agriculture. She enjoyed quilting, spending winters in Florida, traveling, and playing cards especially euchre, pinochle, and hand and foot. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 8 years, Dick Gordon; sons, Larry (Linda) Fraker and Dean Fraker of Delaware; daughter, Cherri (Reggie) Herriott of Fremont, Indiana; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janice Fraker of Delaware; sisters, Irma Fox of Newark and Marlene (Sam) Frey of McConnelsville, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Eric in 1970 and Steve in 2005, and 9 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday September 4th from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Thursday September 5th at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery.
